David Schenker stepped down from the board of directors after 17 years of service to the organization. David has held many key positions in the organization including treasurer and national director.

While spending countless hours on the administrative aspects, he is best know for his skill as a coach. In the late 90's he took Israel's first junior national team Europe and finished second. In 2004 he directed Israel's first senior national team to a respectable 5'th place finish in the European B Pool Championship. He has also taken numerous juvenile teams to European championships.

David's mark has not only been felt by the national team players, but upon an entire generation of Israel baseball players. David has held countless clinics improving the baseball skills of almost an entire generation of baseball players. He was one of the founders of the senior league and led his team to an undefeated season. As a token of its appreciation, David was awarded a plague at the 2005 Annual General Meeting of the IAB. The inscription is as follows:

During the course of almost two decades, David Schenker has trained an entire generation of baseball players and coaches. There are few, if any, coaches or players in Israel today that have not been taught by David or learned the values of dedication, sportsmanship and fair play that he has set as a priority. David is one of the few in an often competitive baseball environment who, in spite of his many successes, has always placed the growth and development of his players above all considerations. They and we are thankful to him and are honored to award David this token of our appreciation.
