Some surprises during the last few weeks:
Gezer Cadets lost for the first time since 2004, defeated by MPI of Jerusalem by the score of 9-6 in 8 innings. Why 8? There was still time left to play ball; both coaches agreed to play 1 more inning.

While the Cadets were losing for the first time this year, the Juveniles inflicted Beit Shemesh's first defeat of the season on Erev Shavuot, final score 11-2.
This leaves no undefeated teams in all the region.

Before we get to all stars and summer...
Coaches - all of you/us! The IAB offical Coaches' Certification Program, endorsed by Wingate himself, is starting shortly. Upon completing the course, the coach will receive a teudat madrich. Not yet coach, but better than 'Volunteer IAB coach.'
I need anyone, age 17 and up, who wants to become a certified Israeli baseball coach.
If anyone is interested (BTW, I'm already signed up) please let me know asap.
This is the tentative itinerary for now:

Also....I am asking if anyone would like to help out develop a new baseball frontier.
The place - Shoham, around 10 min from the airport on Route 40.
Starting in September, at first 5 days a week (5 schools, grades 1-6) and then figuring out what can be done with organizing teams, between 1-3 pm.
Anyone who has the time and is interested, let me know.

First off:
All stars are upon us!
I need Juvenile and Cadet coaches, and a list of Juvenile and Cadet players.
For Juveniles - try and send around 3 per team for all stars.
For Cadets - try and send around 4 per team for all stars.
Numbers subject to change.
Please note that this is all stars. A player has to be good enough to get selected as one of the best players in the region. Take that into consideration when selecting the teams.
